Uvic Completed: Agreement Confirmation, Pending eSign Review

A fake DocuSign email

The phish above claims to be a DocuSign email, but there are several signs that it is not legitimate:

  • The unusually long sender address is not from either UVic or DocuSign
  • The subject line starts with incorrect capitalization; it should say, “UVic”
  • The message is vague and doesn’t give clear information about what the document is supposed to be
  • Hovering over “REVIEW THE DOCUMENTS” reveals the link goes to a site other than DocuSign or UVic.
