My Favourite UVic Instagram Accounts

I spend way too much time on social media but one way I like to rationalize that is by saying that it’s where I get my information from—which is absolutely true! And one of my favourite places to keep up to date on all things UVic is through various UVic-related Instagram pages.

Even if they’re not related to my faculty or program or a club that I’m a part of, I still find it fun to take a look through and find out what different sorts of things are happening across the UVic community.

Here are my favourite UVic Instagram accounts, and ones that you should check out as well!

I guess this one is sort of a no-brainer but I would feel pretty disconnected from UVic if I didn’t follow their official Instagram.

It’s the main place where I get my UVic-related news and the Instagram story takeovers are always fun and engaging to learn about something new on campus or a different event going on.

I also love seeing photos of so many different students. It really reminds you how large the student body truly is!

If you’re ever looking for a place to find UVic culture and spirit, this page is the place to find it.

As their bio rightfully states, Vikes Nation is “The heartbeat of UVic”, and on Instagram it’s a place where you can find fun photos of students, school-spirit, and information about tons of events and sports games.

Not only does the online magazine Her Campus at UVic create engaging articles, they also have a gorgeous Instagram with aesthetically pleasing content and hilarious TikTok videos they post.

This is a new club whose Instagram I came across a couple weeks ago.

As someone who’s interested in fashion and design, I found their Instagram interesting to explore.

They post thrifted outfits, influencer spotlights, and icon of the week where they feature UVic students.

I have to be honest — the reason I truly follow this account is to find out about their sales as soon as they’re posted.

The crewneck I bought for $20 last Christmas is evidence that this reason alone is worth it.

But aside from sales, the UVic Bookstore account posts featured items, and it’s fun to have a look of what’s new in store without having to travel to campus.
