UVic Law Bonspiel 2016

UVic Law has an awesome tradition of holding a student curling tournament, or “bonspiel,” every year. I recently participated in this year’s tournament and it was a blast!

There is a prize for the winning team, and another for the team with the best team name and costume. I formed a team with three of my friends, and our name was “Curl Jam.” Like Pearl Jam… Get it? We thought it was pretty funny, but the well-deserved winning team name was “Boyz II Mens Rea.” I love law puns!

Even though I have no curling experience, I had tons of fun with my classmates and am looking forward to next year’s tournament!
