What’s new

students playing

Well, here we are. March has definitely begun, people are wearing t-shirts outside and there are only a couple weeks of class left.

For most students, that means they’re in denial about the upcoming exam season but are gonna have to face it very soon. For some students, like me, it’s time to put our noses to the grindstone because our worth is measured in final projects rather than exams.

I’ve been putting it off for the past couple days, but I need to seriously get to work. I have a drafting project to do, historic costume plates to draw (and write about) and a monologue I wrote to perform, all before April hits.

I also just got a job at Subtext, the consignment book store in the Student Union Building. As you can see, everything is about to go into high gear.

During this time of stress, it’s important to remember to take care of yourself. Feed yourself, including vegetables and protein, sleep enough, spend time with friends and go outside! It’s so beautiful! And warm.

And that’s the thing. It’s a hard time in the school year but it has many wonderful things. It’s definitely spring. There is summer and time off to look forward to and everybody else is in the same boat – albeit a very stressful, tired boat.

Keep your head up! Before you know it, the school year will be over.

    Hi Amelia,

Great post! I can definitely relate as an English student to the final project time. People focus on finals so much I think Humanities students should get credit for all the final projects/papers. Keep up the good work!
