Isaac Bergstrom is a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student. He loves spending his time running, hiking, mountain biking and at the gym. This year, Isaac is working on perfecting the ball dropper, as well as creating an all new main frame for the vehicle.

Devin is a mechanical engineering student interested in mechatronics and manufacturing design. He enjoys spending his time playing basketball and being outdoors. He designed the kill switch and worked on the stability calculations for the Trident. He is currently working on designing a tether and working with a team on the new dropper. 

Sierra is an engineering student at UVic interested in 3-D modeling. She loves to mountain bike and ski, and she is currently working on the new torpedo system for the sub.

Matt is a fourth year mechanical engineering student focusing on embedded systems and general mechatronics. He is currently working on battery enclosure improvements for the sub.

Jack is a 4^th year mechanical engineering student with an interest in ocean engineering. In his free time he enjoys skiing, hockey, and the gym. He is currently working on the claw design and various 3D printing projects.

Mech

Matthew is a second year computer engineer at UVIC who enjoys working on firmware and software. He is part of the electrical team at AUVIC and works on projects from firmware for stm32 chips to opencv computer vision. Outside of engineering Matthew enjoys hiking rocky trails, playing video games and designing fascinating scenes/models in blender.

Nick is a first year engineering student. He is working on the motor controller and firmware. 

Isaac Northrop is a fourth-year Software Engineering Student. He enjoys spending time outdoors and is currently working on software and firmware for the motor controller. 

Ben is a fourth-year Software Engineering student interested in applying computer vision and deep learning to solve real-world problems. He enjoys working with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and is currently focused on developing vision algorithms to support autonomous navigation for AUVIC’s sub. Outside of AUVIC, he enjoys exploring creative projects and watching movies.

Liam is a fourth-year software engineering student with a strong interest in computer vision and real-time data processing. He is currently working on developing object detection capabilities for the submarine’s vision system to enhance autonomous decision-making. Passionate about any and all outdoor activities, he spends his free time moutain biking, skiing, and hiking when he’s not working on software-driven solutions for AUVIC.

Quinn is a second-year History and Computer Science student with a wide variety of interests. Here to further his software development skills, he is currently working on AUVIC’s website. Quinn represents UVic in the CCBC alongside fellow club member Ethan Dean, playing baseball for the Victoria Golden Tide. In his free time, he likes to read and paint miniatures.
