Immerse yourself in the rough and tumble times of BC’s Gold Rush, with Barkerville is Rich in History. UVic alum James Douglas created this interactive site. It stars other alum who bring Barkerville’s rich history to life.

Visit the town, meet important townsfolk, learn about the gold rush and experience the daily life of those who lived on the frontiers of BC in the 1860s.

Teacher resource guides are built into the site to enrich the student experience.
