Faculty approach Inba Kehoe, General Editor at the Copyright and Scholarly Communications Office (CSCO) to discuss the creation of scholarly monographs on various topics through the Libraries ePublishing service. Each project includes editorial and publication support from the CSCO staff, including the procurement of a book designer. A faculty member who is interested in utilizing ePublishing service is responsible for bringing a well-edited book and the funds for hiring a professional book designer for the project.
The university's e-Publishing service ensures that our author's research is disseminated as widely as possible. We have adopted an open access business model by using a Creative Commons license (https://creativecommons.org), where authors retain copyright. All our open access books are available as free PDFs on UVicSpace (UVic’s institutional repository), while paperback copies can be purchased through the University Bookstore.
