Intro to the Internet of Things

From self-adjusting thermostats to pet feeders that calculate and track your pet’s nutritional needs, the Internet of Things may sound futuristic, but it is quickly becoming reality. In this workshop, we will explore ways to control basic electronics remotely from a laptop or smartphone. We’ll even learn how to make a Weasley Whereabouts Clock!

If you do not have any prior experience working with Arduino (or basic programming and electronics), we recommend you attend our Introduction to Arduino workshop first.  Some pre-workshop setup instructions will be emailed to registrants prior to the workshop. Please complete the pre-workshop instructions for software and creating accounts. It will make the workshop go more smoothly!

See information about upcoming dates and registration on our Workshops page. View the workshop lesson plan here: Internet of Things with Arduino.
