UVic Libraries now has two PS4 consoles and multiple games!
- The first console is available for a three-day loan from the main Ask Us Desk, and includes two controllers and associated cables. You will need access to an HDMI-compatible screen to set up this PS4. This console is set up to allow users to sign in to and/or create their own Playstation accounts. Users are responsible to back up their game saves, if desired. User files will be deleted before the PS4 is loaned out to the next patron.
- The second console is installed in a Viewing Room, and is bookable through the staff at the main Ask Us desk on the 1st floor of the library. This Viewing Room features three comfy chairs and a large screen television, and two controllers can be borrowed at the start of the booking. This PS4 has some generic sign-ins available for use during the room booking, but does not allow patrons to sign in to their own Playstation accounts.

- Another useful resource for PS4 games is the Greater Victoria Public Library, as they have an extensive collection of games available for borrowing: Click here to browse their catalog.
We would like to thank UVic Humanities for their generous donation of two PS4 consoles and games which made this service possible! The donation followed the Virtual Ninja Project event, which was hosted in the Digital Scholarship Commons earlier this year. More information about that exciting event and the research connected to it can be found at UVic News.
