Are you a UVic student or Staff member and want to learn more about interactive storytelling with digital tools? If so, then this hands-on workshop will give you an introduction to Twine, which is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories. Once you’ve completed this session you’ll be able to:
- Create stories with branching passages based on the reader’s input.
- Embed photos and video in your stories.
- Format the text and background with CSS.
- Randomly branch to one of a pool of pre-selected passages.
No programming skills are required for this workshop; just a good imagination and a desire to tell a story.
