Screenshot of TwineAre you a UVic student or Staff member and want to learn more about interactive storytelling with digital tools? If so, then this hands-on workshop will give you an introduction to Twine, which is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories. Once you’ve completed this session you’ll be able to:

  1. Create stories with branching passages based on the reader’s input.
  2. Embed photos and video in your stories.
  3. Format the text and background with CSS.
  4. Randomly branch to one of a pool of pre-selected passages.

No programming skills are required for this workshop; just a good imagination and a desire to tell a story.
