Photo of a full workshop in the DSC spaceToday we held our largest ever workshop in the DSC Makerspace in collaboration with at class that is part of the Education Faculty’s Post-Degree program. Dr. Ted Riecken and Dr. Bruno Jayme brought their 35 soon-to-be teachers to participate in back-to-back 3D Design and 3D Print workshops at the DSC Makerspace, and their feedback on the hands-on workshops was very positive (using a “flipped” pedagogy). All the DSC workshops’ curriculum are Open Acess and freely available on the DSC website for the teachers to use in their own classes in the future. It was wonderful to hear how some of the participants were planning to use the new skills they were learning in their own classrooms this fall!
