AGEDOUT is an online resource for young adults who were previously in government care in BC. AGEDOUT is focused on empowerment. It has up-to-date resources on information to aid in life skills and services necessary for transition out of government care and overall wellbeing as a young adult. AGEDOUT was designed with the guidance of prior youth in government care and developed intended to provide the changes to the system that youth want to see.
AGEDOUT is developed by the Adoptive Families Association of BC in partnerships with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). MCFD supports extended until March 31st 2022. Youth set to transition at age 19 will continue to receive housing and financial support until this time.
