The University of Victoria’s satellite mission—ORCASAT—will launch on 18th November 2022 from Kennedy Space Center. Once set in orbit from the International Space Station, this CubeSat mission will operate for 18 months. Professor Afzal Suleman will tell the story of this endeavour and how it has placed a diverse team of scientists and engineers at UVic at the forefront of modern space research. This event is free, and is taking place on November 9th from 6:00-7:00 PM PST.
