The Assistance Fund provides grants of up to $1,000 (per calendar year) to help pay for an emergency situation that affects your health or safety. To qualify, you must be receiving the War Veterans Allowance. Money can be provided for shelter expenses, clothing, health, appliances, or debt. The maximum grant is $1,000 for one calendar year.
