In honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Support Network for Indigenous Women and Women of Colour is hosting a film viewing and a conversation at the Vic Theatre on September 30th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. The film will be “Healing Nation” by Symbia Barnaby. After the film, SNIWWC and Symbia will hold a dialogue on the legacy of displacement, intergenerational trauma, and the power of healing through storytelling. Tickets are required to attend. The event is free and the hosts stress that no one will be turned away due to financial burden, although there is a suggested donation of $15 that will go toward supporting BIPOC women in the community.
