Art collections from historical and contemporary Canadian artists such as Emily Carr, Unity Bainbridge, Yucho Chow, and others will be on display. Chinese Canadian history over the past 60 years will be exhibited through a “Whose Chinatown?” showcase housed at UBC. The exhibition’s goal is to explore the constructs of Chinatown and to explore the colonial influences that have impacted those constructs. Thousands of rare art pieces will at the exhibition from January 29 – May 1, 2021.
