This sculpture called “Soul of a Wolf” was made by artist Kent Laforme. It is to be permanently installed at Cattle Point. It was made to remember a wolf named Takata who was killed by a hunter in March after living eight years on TI’ches (Discovery and Chatham Islands). Laforme worked with Songhees Chief Ron Sam and knowledge keepers Florence Dick and Joan Morris as well as other members, in order to gain an understanding of their relationship with the wolf.
