The Vancouver Island West School District, which serves the west coast of the island from Chamiss Bay to Gold River, plans to return to full-time in-person classes for most K-12 students starting September 8th. Due to small school size, all but one of the district schools will return to class as normal. The remaining school will use a 2-3 cohort system to keep learning groups under 60. All BC families are given the options of in-class instruction, distributed (online) learning, and traditional homeschooling, as well as specialized accommodation.
