Overview

Reverend George Hubert Andrews was born in Dublin, Ireland, on May 19th, 1859. He was the reverend and the first rector of St. Mary’s Church in the Victoria B.C. community of Oak Bay. He was not married.[1]

Great War

When the Great War began, he immediately volunteered for service. On April 23, 1916 Andrews left Victoria with the 88th Regiment, Victoria Fusiliers as their Chaplain.[2][3]

Post War

After the war, Reverend Andrews continued to apart of St Mary’s Cathedral in Victoria.
