When I began writing The Open Book, my goal was to have new regular content every couple of weeks. That hasn’t happened, obviously, in part because I am only one person and my workload is consistently heavy.
After some discussion, the decision was made to transition this from a personal blog to a departmental blog for the UVic Libraries Digitization Centre.
This means more voices will be added, and more content in coming weeks, which means you get more behind-the scenes details of the type of materials we are working with, the equipment we use, and the challenges we face.
To illustrate this post, I selected a detail from one of the many Samuel Maclure architectural drawings in our digital holdings.
