I am River

The River Riders invite you to take a virtual bike trip along the shores of Bow River.

In this experimental poetic documentary, Serap Brown (a PhD student in the Faculty of Education) and her husband explore the essential life-giving force of water.

The duo, calling themselves River Riders, have ridden their tandem bicycle over 5,000 kms along rivers in Europe and Canada. They travel the banks of rivers from source to sea, following where the rivers go.

 I am River was recorded during the last River Riders trip in July 2019. It takes you on a mesmerizing trip from the source of the Bow River at Bow Glacier in the Rocky Mountains to the Saskatchewan River Delta.
