Are you searching for educational content for your children while they learn from home?
Two UVic alumni have launched a free 10-week educational series for families through their BC-based company, Live It. Immerse your kids in highly produced, interactive educational experiences aimed at students in grades 3-6. With themed weeks on topics like orcas, campfires, and the Arctic, there is something for everyone.
Families can sign up online and will get access to LIVE presentations from experts, plus music, games, art challenges and additional education experiences (like underwater dives!). Full calendar and sign up for free on liveit.earth.
Mike Irvine, co-founder and chief executive officer, is a pioneer in educational technology. He made history in 2015 by successfully defending his (MA’15) thesis live from underwater, “Beneath the waves”.
Maeva Gauthier, co-founder and chief development officer, is passionate about marine ecology, coastal communities, communications, and filmmaking. She holds a MSc (2011) from UVic’s School of Earth and Ocean Sciences and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography.
