Mowachaht Muchalaht First Nation FEED study

PRIMED is currently working with the Mowachaht Muchalaht First Nation (MMFN), Barkley Project Group (BPG), and wave developer INGINE on a FEED study to investigate the feasibility of developing a wave energy converter (WEC) to power the remote MMFN village of Yuquot on Nootka Island.

PRIMED’s assessment of social, technical, environmental, and economic criteria will allow the MMFN and Natural Resources Canada to make an informed decision for future stages of project development along with setting the stage for additional marine renewable energy developments on the west coast of Canada.
