My Teaching Philosophy

From Students

Dr. Lou was very knowledgeable and passionate about the information he was teaching. This made learning so much more fun and really gave us the opportunity to become excited along with him. Dr. Lou was resourceful, accepting, helpful, and creative. Probably one of the best professors I’ve ever had (I’m in my last semester). He covered a lot of challenging and important topics with ease and really gave the class a lot of space to learn in their own way. I really appreciated how much he cared and looked out for his class and how many diverse opportunities he provided for us to learn.

Student in Psychology of Immigration

“He was incredibly kind and encouraging, and I think some professors underestimate the impact this can have – I’m much more motivated to learn when my prof clearly wants to see their students succeed and is kind and approachable.”

“He cares about what he’s teaching.
Takes a personal perspective on the leaning material that adds to the value of the course. “

“This professor was great at engaging with the class and it was his ultimate interest in the subject and course that changed the way i had looked at the course itself. It was great seeing someone teach others about something they love.”

Students in Social Psychology

“He seemed very passionate about the course material and integrated jokes and interesting topics to offset the potentially mundane
aspect of statistics.”

“He is really organized. I like that he gave us feedback and marking on time. He made jokes and motivated me with the Stats.”
