Extreme weather-related crises in the past have caught many governments off-guard, resulting in significant negative health outcomes.
This investigation will allow government bodies, health authorities, and service providers to better understand the experience of extreme weather events and design better policies and programs to help vulnerable residents prepare for, respond to and recover from these events.
The ultimate aim of this research is to inform and equip governing bodies within British Columbia to understand what climate-crises and associated health impacts are on the horizon and to be better prepared.
