About Us

As a graduate student within the Faculty, you are automatically a member of the Association of Graduate Education Students (AGES). Members of the AGES Executive Team worked with the Dean’s office to create a centralized resource where you can find simple, relevant, and accessible information pertaining to your degree. We have been where you are and our mission is to make it as easy as possible for you to excel as a graduate student.

AGES was instituted in 1998 by a group of graduate students who believed in the need for creating a community within the Faculty of Education at UVIC. We believe AGES’ purpose is to build community within the faculty, share information, and support graduate students on their journey to degree completion. We offer a variety of initiatives for graduate students including seminars, office hours, and mentorship programs. The Executive Members of AGES have been where you are, and understand the importance of student mentorship. Feel free to send us an email. You can also check out our website for the latest updates.
