Sit back and enjoy a stirring bit of music and research, as professor Harald Krebs and soprano Sharon Krebs celebrate Robert Schumann’s late songs. In this Distinguished Professor lecture, Harald explores how song composers manipulate the rhythm of poetry for expressive purposes.

Harald was named a University of Victoria Distinguished Professor in 2010—the highest academic honour the university can bestow on a faculty member. He is head of the music theory area in UVic’s School of Music.
