We vote for storytime!

We voted for them to run our cities, but now these elected officials are running bedtime too!

UVic alum and City of Victoria Councillor Charlayne Thornton-Joe recently launched Eight O’Clock Storybook Reading to help out tired parents and spread a little joy during these tough times.

B.C.’s Minister of Finance Carole James, View Royal Mayor David Screech and North Saanich Mayor Geoff Orr are just a few of the readers who have shared their favorite stories over the past month.

It’s an adorable way for kids to hear a bedtime story and to meet a few of our local politicians (and other Victoria figures).
