Tânsi, nitisînîkâson Janna. ni ininiwîsinîkason kwî-kwî siw. I am Swampy Cree from Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Treaty 5 territory is my home. I am a mother to three children, a partner to my wonderful husband of seventeen years, and a daughter of a fluent Cree parent that refused to speak to me until I was older because of the stigma he felt. Earning my B.Ed. allowed me to step into the teaching world to explore my passion of incorporating indigenous perspectives into provincial curriculum. I am a middle-years classroom teacher, and an M.Ed. student at Brandon University Curriculum and Pedagogy Program
