Kiera Brant-Birioukov (she/her, Kanyen’keha:ka) is from Kenhtèke Mohawk Territory in southern Ontario. Dr-Brant-Birioukov is an assistant professor of education and research associate for the Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Languages at York University in Toronto, ON. Her current projects include serving as the co-lead for the Ga̱̱hsrǫ:nih Haudenosaunee repatriation project, which is mandated to lead the return of ancestral knowledges and stories from colonial institutions back to the communities of the Six Nations Confederacy. Her research is grounded in Haudenosaunee thought, theory, and languages, and is taken up through a curriculum studies discourse.
