2024 Seattle Design Competition
UVic Seismic traveled down to Seattle for the 2024 Seismic Design Competition, placing 3rd among 40 international teams. The Malahat Tower achieved 1st for structural modelling performance predictions, 1st overall for team presentation, 2nd place for damper design, and 3rd place in architectural design.
2023 San Francisco Design Competition
UVic Seismic traveled down to San Francisco for the 2023 seismic design competition, placing 10th among 34 international teams and 1st among all Canadian teams. The High Bay Towers survived the shake test and received impressive bonuses for communication, poster, prediction, and damper design.
2022 Salt Lake City Design Competition
UVic Seismic traveled to the 2022 seismic design competition in Salt Lake City , placing 9th out of 34 international teams. Finnerty Tower survived the shake test with an impressive zero rule violations.
2021 Seattle Design Competition
UVic Seismic attended the virtual 2021 seismic design competition, placing 9th our of 37 international teams with out design of Ansel Tower.
2020 San Diego Design Competition
UVic Seismic attended our inaugural competition in 2020, placing 19th out of 46 international teams with our design of the Miramontes Tower.
