The UVic Seismic Design Team aims to attend the annual EERI Seismic Design Competition, to engage students in earthquake engineering, provide context to earthquake engineering research and education, and facilitate networking opportunities for students. The Design Team is an initiative of the University of Victoria’s Student Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (UVIC EERI), which was founded in August 2019 by a group of undergraduate students from UVic’s Civil Engineering Department.
