About Me

Welcome! I am a 2nd year master’s student in Applied Mathematics at the University of Victoria. I am co-supervised by Dr. Junling Ma and Dr. Pauline van den Driessche.

I also hold a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Waterloo (2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Victoria (2008).

My research is focused on infectious disease modelling, particularly with respect to examining the impacts of (1) control measures and (2) behaviours on disease transmission in populations. I also plan to apply a social determinants of health (SDOH)-related lens to this work.

I enjoy travelling, baking, reading, and gardening. My days are intensely monitored by my cat, Ruby – she is pleased to approve this webpage.
