Student Wellness
Office of Student Life Not sure where to turn? The office of student life can help guide students on non-academic conduct matters. They collaborate with university offices and student groups to offer preventative and educational programming intended to support the well-being and development of UVic students.
Student Wellness Centre The place for all things wellness; physical, mental and spiritual health. Book an appointment with a nurse, physician, counsellor or spiritual health provider.
CAL The Centre for Accessible Learning. They can help provide educational accessibility for students with disabilities and chronic health conditions.
Society for Students with a Disability is a post-secondary student advocacy group under the University of Victoria Students’ Union which promotes the full participation and inclusion of students who self-identify as having one or more disabilities at the University of Victoria. They support students to reduce barriers in the social, emotional, and educational domains of student life.
Learning Assistance ProgramThe UVic Learning Assistance Program (LAP) connects you with specialized tutors and learning strategists for one-on-one, personalized learning support.
International Centre for StudentsA centralized resource providing international services, information and programs for undergraduate and graduate students from pre-arrival to degree completion.
EDSAA student-run organization that serves undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education. The group organizes professional workshops and social activities, creates and coordinates professional opportunities for students, and communicates with the department of education on behalf of students. 
UVic Students’ Society (UVSS)A social justice based non-profit run by students, for students. They offer peer support, health and dental plans, operate the Food Bank & Free Store and other services.
The Multifaith Centre – Representing more than a dozen faiths. The centre provides one-on-one spiritual care as well as culturally diverse free weekly activities, events and programs.
The Curriculum and Instruction (Decolonization), Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Action Committee
(D)EDI Action Committeeis an ongoing and responsive committee made up of students, staff (including sessional instructors), and faculty who are committed to creating an intentional space.

French Resources are located in Mac D117 and in the McPherson Library. MAC D117 resources offer themed resource kits that align with the curriculum, resource/teaching, Modulo literacy, Science and Socials resources and numerous Indigenous ressources. Black History Month Resources (February)
British Columbia Black History Awareness Society (BCBHAS) – The society creates awareness of the history of Blacks in B.C., and celebrates historical and contemporary achievements and contributions in the arts, education, government, sports, science etc.
February Events – Honour the month by taking in a local event in Victoria.
Teaching Resources – Guides and resources for educators, students, parents, researchers, and families.
Kayak Magazine Their Black History in Canada issue contains a great depth of historival information.
The UVic Library UVic librarians offer a curated list of book and film recommendations for Black History Month.
UVic Resources and Events -Campus events and opportunities dedicated to Black History Month.
Canadian Heritage – Has a large number of links to organizations and educational resources.
CBC Books  – 16 Canadian books for kids and young adults by Black Canadian authors.
TeachMag Have compiled a list of 10 current and 10 upcoming books appropriate for students K-12.

History BitsKayak magazine has some animated videos related to Black history suitable for educators of elementary level students.
NFB The National Film Board of Canada collection celebrates and explores the rich culture and history in this country.
Asian Heritage Month (May)
The Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society – The society fosters, promotes and celebrates the arts and cultural diversity that Asian-Canadian communities bring to Canadian society.
CBC Books10 works of fiction, nonfiction, comic and children’s literature by Canadians of Asian descent.
TeachMag A wide selection of books that shine a light on the experiences and histories of Asian and Pacific Islander communities and individuals, appropriate for students K-12.

National Indigenous History Month (June)
Taapwaywin Podcast This podcast series explores the intersections between truth, memory, power and human rights. Hosted by Associate University Librarian – Reconciliation Ry Moran, Taapwaywin features conversations with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, Survivors, academics, artists, activists and community leaders about the role truth-telling can play in societal healing.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day (Sept 30th)
The Orange Shirt Society A non-profit organization based in Williams Lake, BC. that has a selection of educational resources for elementary, junior and high school.
The National Centre for Truth & ReconciliationA place of learning and dialogue where the truths of the residential school experience will be honoured and kept safe for future generations. They have free virtual education programs for K-12 for week leading up to Sept. 30th

Mon passeport franco
Mon passeport franco is a French language and culture program for all Education students who are interested in a future teaching career in French language education.
The passeport aims to:
• support you in the continued development of your French language skills,
• build intercultural competency through multiple cultural and language experiences in French,
• develop a positive professional identity as a French teacher, and
• help students develop a disposition towards lifelong professional learning in French
Highlights of the passeport include:
