The Maritime Museum of British Columbia has on file several of the telegrams sent between the Sophia, the Cedar, the Atlas, the CPR stations in Juneau and Victoria, and the other rescue ships. They have been reproduced here. Although the complete set of telegrams is not available, the ones which are reproduced do provide some insight into how the tragedy was handled by those involved. They are listed as close to chronological order as possible, and will be transcribed when time permits.
