Canada’s first official open textbook project was announced by the Government of British Columbia in October 2012, and is led by BCcampus.
The project will support the creation of open textbooks for the 40 most popular firs and second year courses in the province’s public post-secondary system. The texts will be available for free online, or at low-cost for printed version.
