During the first weekend of March, Canada hosted Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This visit was expected to be different from last year as in the last G7 conference, Justin Trudeau stated he was concerned about Meloni’s right-wing views, specifically surrounding 2SLGBTQ+ rights. Instead, Trudeau is projected to deepen the relationship between Italy and Canada.
