The University of Victoria Libraries is pleased to announce our second publication in the award-winning, continuing series about our archives and special collections.

The Transgender Archives: Foundations for the Future
by Aaron H Devor
is now available at https://www.uvic.ca/library/about/ul/publications/Devor_Foundations_for_the_Future.pdf

As the largest collection of transgender archival materials in the world, the Transgender Archives at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is a unique and invaluably rich collection of resources to learn about the complexity of human gender variance. Written by Founder and Academic Director of the Transgender Archives, Dr. Aaron H Devor, and published by the University of Victoria Libraries, The Transgender Archives: Foundations for the Future showcases and celebrates the transgender history found at the Transgender Archives.

This series of publications supports the University of Victoria Libraries' strategic directions in learning, research and community as they relate to the University of Victoria's integrated approach to research-intensive learning. The publications are meant to illustrate, in an accessible format, the special collections housed at the University of Victoria.

The Transgender Archives: Foundations for the Future is published in a limited edition of 1000 copies with a letter-press cover hand-printed in Victoria by Don Allen of Winfield Printing. Along with our other library publications, it is freely accessible as a PDF via an Open Access, Creative Commons license, through the University Librarian's office at: https://www.uvic.ca/library/about/ul/publications/
