The Libraries and Digital Scholarship Discussion Group is back for another ETCL-sponsored session:

"Beyond the Humanities: Exploring the Frontiers of Digital Scholarship"

When: Friday February 28, 2014

Where: Harry Hickman Building, Room 116

Time: 2:30-4 pm

Panellists include:

Jonathan Bengtson, University Librarian, University of Victoria Libraries.

Ray Siemens, Canada Research Chair in Humanities Computing and Distinguished Professor in the Faculty of Humanities, in English with cross appointment in Computer Science.

George Tzanetakis, Associate Professor, Canada Research Chair in the Computer Analysis of Audio and Music.

Paul Walde, Associate Professor, Visual Arts.

In this informal discussion, participants will be asked to respond to questions about digital scholarship beyond humanities research and the creative use of technologies as it applies to other faculties, while exploring how the library can engage and play a part in facilitating these new forms of scholarship.

Do you have a question for the panel? Please email coreyd@uvic.ca or cwalde@uvic.ca by Tuesday next week and we'll pick the best ones to put to our guests.

All are welcome.
