Open Up! Sparky Awards 2011

SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) is
organizing an international short video contest for college/university
students:
Students are invited to make a two-minute video to show their support
for open access and inform the world of its potential to foster
creativity, innovation, and problem solving. Entries are welcome in
these categories:
1. Animation
2. Speech
3. Remix
4. People's Choice
Winners will receive an iPad, iPhone, or iPod, and a fabulous “Sparky
Award” statuette. The award-winning videos will be announced in June
and widely publicized at events across North America throughout the year.
Entries are accepted until 12:00 AM Eastern Time on May 26, 2011. To be
eligible, videos must be freely accessible online and available for
reuse under a Creative Commons License
(http://creativecommons.org/licenses/).
