Hi Hanna,
I just read your infographic and loved the concept and the presentation of the ideas. First you introduced the topic, then concisely went into supporting arguments to the benefits of maintaining the culture of origin and negative effects of losing it. It resonated well with me and I think it is helpful to know for anyone with an immigrant background! You presented thew relationship between language, culture and mental health really well. I was particularly intrigued by the internalized racism towards the own cultural group when they lose the heritage culture. Do you think if that has anything to do with adverse pre-migration experiences in the host country, prior to acculturation? For example, would someone who experienced homophobia or religious discrimination in their host country be more likely to lose their heritage culture, and therefore be more prone to have racism towards their own cultural group after migrating?
