We have officially beta-launched the Open Scholarship Policy Observatory! https://ospolicyobservatory.uvic.ca/
The Open Scholarship Policy Observatory is coordinated by the Canadian Social Knowledge Institute (C-SKI) and made up of INKE Partnership members and stakeholders who collect research, track findings and national and international policy changes, and facilitate understanding of open social scholarship across Canada and internationally. Building from these activities, we work as an aid to influence and implement policy around knowledge mobilization. The Open Scholarship Policy Observatory reflects findings back to other partners and stakeholders, along with local institutions, associations, consortia, and government bodies, in order to assist these groups with developing timely and responsive policies. Further, the Open Scholarship Policy Observatory:
- seeks to track pertinent policies and their impact across research community;
- provides updates on new trends and current research via the forthcoming Open Scholarship Policy Observatory website and at annual INKE gatherings;
- offers a broad and deep foundation for the development of policy recommendations on important issues, including identity management, open access, data management, citizen science, and other related areas.
The Open Scholarship Policy Observatory website will be coming soon. Follow @INKEProject for all the latest updates.
