Territories

“…the call of place brought other communities of nonhumans and humans, including settler-descended people, to the struggle of coexistence.”
Larsen & Johnson

Geographers Larsen & Johnson (Euro-settler/Lenni Lenape/Tsaligi) write about the agency of place, or the way place itself is an active participant in the ways we (and other living beings) know the world through our lived experiences (our life-worlds). Learning to Listen is informed by this idea, positioning the territories this project is taking place on as equal participants in our experiences.
