Dillon Chrimes – University of Victoria Health Informatics Standards & Interoperability
As a key member of the UVic School of Health Information Science, he contributes to the development of standards for AI Quality in Healthcare. This ensures that AI tools are not just technically sound but are safe, ethical, and effective for patient care. Dr. Chrimes also serves as the chair of the IEEE Big Data Education Track and the chair of the Special Interest Group on Big Data for Healthcare, Medicine, and Biology. As an Assistant Teaching Professor, he leads workshops on Data Science with Python and Tableau/Power BI for healthcare. He is a proponent of “measurement as science,” teaching students how to turn measurements into frameworks for health management.
