LGBTQI2S Hospice and Palliative Care Project

Led by Dr. Robert Savage

LGBTQI2S Hospice & Palliative Care Project is Participatory Action Research project aimed at evaluating the degree to which LGBTQI2S older adults are engaging with hospice and palliative care in the Island Health region. Existing research displays a distrust among LGBTQI2S in regard to their engagement with other healthcare domains. Given it is likely that LGBTQI2S are not fully engaged with the services offered by hospice and palliative care in the Island Health region, this project seeks to develop tools to facilitate and optimize engagement with this community in the future.
