The Birth Control Study is a mixed method study being conducted in partnership with Island Sexual Health Society. Using qualitative interviews and analysis of administrative health data, the goal of the study is to evaluate the effect of Island Sexual Health’s birth control education program on patient outcomes such as choice of birth control method and adherence to that method. The study also aims to understand what healthcare providers, educators, and patients see as a priority in birth control-related healthcare, and develop recommendations for this kind of care that can be applied in other settings.
