UVIC IEEE

The UVIC IEEE Student Branch is a social, event coordinating, learning, and scholarship group related to the International Electrical and Electronics Engineers (everyone is welcome). You may have seen or attended our SkillDevs where we take students, lab techs, and professors and teach skills like hands-on soldering, embedded programming, or machine learning! We also give access to student IEEE members (see https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/index.html) to the IEEE McNaughten center in ELW, which has a full soldering station, a server for students to SSH into and use, function generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, monitors, fridges, free printing and study space! We also have exclusive UVIC scholarships for student members! Connect with us at ieeesb@uvic.ca!

Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE)

Hey Civil Engineers!

The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) UVic chapter is always looking for enthusiastic civil engineering student members.

The CSCE is a non-for-profit learned society created to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession. It is a community for civil engineering students to get to know more about the branches & specifics of civil engineering, network with students and industry professionals but also, have fun with engineering pals as you get your rewarding degree.

We also participate in AI based competitions, theorize about practical AI solutions, and offer guidance for individuals interested in learning and improving their skills in AI programming.

UVIC Formula Hybrid

The UVic Formula Hybrid team is once again in search of new members! Each year we design, build, and manufacture an open wheel formula style race car to take to competition in New Hampshire. We are currently working from home so all you need is a phone or computer to attend our virtual meetings. Members of any skill level and from any discipline are welcome. While most in-person contact has been eliminated for now, we’re currently planning some social distanced events for the fall semester.

If any of this interests you, please send us a message at @uvichybrid, or contact us by email at uvicformulahybrid@gmail.com.
