The 2017 archaeology class at Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre will host a community day on Thursday August 10, 2017 at the cafeteria building on campus to showcase our methods, observations, class team, and results. Please feel free to come to this event after lunch to hear from students, community members, and researchers at BMSC. This 6-week hybrid UVic anthropology and BMSC class on the field and lab techniques of coastal archaeology is exploring the deep time ecology and human history of Nuu-chah-nulth territories in Barkley Sound. We are grateful to the support of Tseshaht First Nation, Huu-ay-aht First Nations, Parks Canada, UVic Anthropology, the Hakai Institute, and the Bamfield Marine Science Centre.

The event will be held in the Ross Lecture Hall in the cafeteria building on BMSC campus.
