Wenyu “Owen” Jiang successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Static and Seismic Responses of Pile-Supported Marine Structures under Scoured Conditions”. In his dissertation, he develops methods for evaluation of combined effects of scour and earthquakes on lateral behaviors of piles, and applies them to analyze monopile-supported offshore wind turbines. He also develops methods for investigation of lateral behavior of pile groups subjected to local scour. Owen is the first PhD student passing the defense from our lab . Congratulations to Owen!
